It’s almost done. They are ready. Still a little boost and The Present Moment happen near you. Hartzine, who has repeatedly shown his interest in the American group (his interview of the week + + chronic), supports this last effortand will be a partner in a few weeks of either date of the tour European band to Scott. If you want to help, listen to the message of the leading video below andthen visit this page created for the occasion. And spend without counting … The Present Moment offers a "dance" effective, coherent and deep on his album The High Road and impeccable Loyal To A Fault, (Mannequin, Desire). When THE group of “sexy electro dark,” as Scott describes himself, wants to meet us, it can not refuse. To minimize The Distance Between Us, be generous and you will be rewarded!
This piece is loosely based around the alternate history presented in Philip K. Dick’s “The Man in the High Castle.” Los Angeles, 1949 (three years after the Axis victory). cast: Forest Carver: Reich Police inspector, Los Angeles division Scott Milton: Popular music combo bandleader, alleged propagandist and subversive Isul Kim: Imperial Government official, Pacific States of America assignment Cade Fall: Reich Police sergeant Garey Snider: Reich Police officer production notes: Shot on location in downtown Los Angeles, Hollywood, Little Tokyo, and at Big Art Labs, LA.
The Present Moment means a real sense of adventure towards music and a fair degree of passion for singular, creative and fugitive shared moments, against any procrastination. Based in Los Angeles Scott Milton who already making use of original and advanced musical ideas in the two bands Catalog and Moodorgan is now expressing his very own stylistic-musical universe under the name of The Present Moment. The Present Moment achieves a stunning hybridation and an infectious blend of dense cold-waveʼs electro grooves, cyclical droning interferences, vigorous epic industrialism, dolorous nocturne-goth weirdness superbly sustained by a seductive eighties flavor. Ritualistic in nature, the whole musical trip offers a dark, delightful and rather unique breathtaking atmosphere, sometimes revealing enthralling lysergic electroambiences. The Present Moment is situated in an in-between and non stabilized musical region which authorizes astonishing connections. A new effort entitled Loyal to A Fault will soon see the light on Mannequin. This new record is a collaborative effort between Scott Milton and Philipp Munch of The Rorschach Garden. It explores a relatively similar dynamic pop territory, still opened to new musical tendencies and new sonorities without loosing cohesion. Consequently this last effort promises a completely mesmeric musical odyssey made of eerie drones, addictive electro moves, propulsive batcave bass lines and captivating plaintive-melodic sections which culminate into a sort of ecstatic consuming reverie. Scott Miltonʼs rich sense of composition gives to the arrangements a radical and unique feel, somewhere between the narcoleptic twist of The Sisters of Mercy, the regular addictive density of Front 242 and the touching gothdramatic sense of Colin Newman or Asylum Party. This upcoming effort explores the sonic realms of kinetic electro-pop music. A pretty personal matured sound signature which will certainly provoke visceral, exceptional effects on the revival of the electro-cold wave pop movement. The concept behind this new album illustrates purely passionate, re-creative aspects of manʼs intimate nature: Muted sorrow, tragedies of communication, the natural tension between loss and presence, renewal love. Prepare yourself for this transgressive, post-romantic electro adventure. This year, Scott Miltonʼs live band played with a handful of notorious figures of the synthminimal cold wave circle such as Light Asylum, Salem, Gatekeeper, Iron Curtain, Legendary Pink Dots, Soft Metals just to name a few… LP Edition limited to 300 copies In collaboration with Desire Records (France) http://www.myspace.com/presentmomentmusichttp://www.mannequinmailorder.com/http://mannequinlabel.tumblr.com/

The Present Moment is a grave wave electronic synth act with postpunk roots based out of LA, California.. When band leader Milton Scott, contacted Brooklyn based producer of glo-fi disco act, BRIGHT FUTURE, for a remix, it only made sense that the two mutually respected artists hashed out their first collaboration. Our very own Frank Midnite has dawned a new cloak, re-emerging from the ashes of Nursery’s dark disco fairytale as BRIGHT FUTURE. Frank Midnite has been doing a string of remixes for artists such as Death in Plains, Blackbird Blackbird, and The Present Moment debuting his 3rd remix ever! Download the official mastered release (this shit got mastered in Germany!) with cover art by ALEXANDER BINDER. The remix will be released on DISARO RECORDS on a remix album with contemporary artists such as TENSE, Crossover, and few others that we don’t even know about yet.
